Complete Weddings & Events has been providing professional DJ entertainment for over 40 years. We specialize in providing a more personalized experience with a storefront office, professionally trained staff and online planning tools that allow you to customize every detail, as much or as little as you want. Our goal is to make sure everything runs smoothly, and everyone has a great time!
People often think DJs simply play music. What actually goes into creating an unforgettable wedding reception?
Playing music is just part of what we do. There are hours of planning that go into making each event unique and fun. There is a pre-call with the couples prior to the day to make sure we’re all on the same page and can show up and take over so the couples can just show up and enjoy their reception. Plus that day, we’re executing the timeline and working with all the vendors on when things are happening. We’re also making the sure the lighting and audio levels are set correctly.
How do you work with couples to create a playlist that feels completely personal to them?
We have helpful online planning tools that make it super easy to communicate their must plays, don’t plays and even share a playlist link they may have created from Spotify or something similar with all their favorites. We’re good at knowing when in the night to work in their requests. Plus we can take guests requests too to make sure there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
What’s the secret to keeping a dance floor full all night?
There’s a science to keeping the dance floor bumpin – it’s a combination of creating the right flow of events, knowing how to read the crowd, when to slow things down, when to do an activity like a line dance and when to change music styles. Our DJs are trained on this and do a great job keeping your dance floor full.
What songs are proving really popular with couples this year? Are there any new wedding trends you’re seeing?
Popular songs this year are Ordinary by Alex Warren, Lose Control by Teddy Swims, Espresso by Sabrina Carpenter and the classic throwbacks like I Wanna Dance With Somebody, September, Dancing Queen and Jackson 5.
We also offer a ceremony music package. What does this include and why is it worth considering?
Wedding trends we see tend to do with couples wanting to forgo traditional things like a garter toss and opt for more personal touches like late night snacks, private last dances and fun things like a photo booth.
What kind of requests do you get, any odd ones?
We get odd requests all the time, but if it’s meaningful to the couple or guests, it always works out great.
What advice would you give couples who want an amazing party but aren’t sure where to start choosing their entertainment?
